Indemnity Form
Please read this indemnity and liability waiver carefully before using our doorstep services. By placing a booking, you accept all conditions listed herein.
1. Overview and Scope
This Indemnity Form ("Form") constitutes a legal agreement between the customer ("You" or "Customer") and **FixAtDoor Technologies Private Limited** ("FixAtDoor", "We", or "Us"). By booking a doorstep repair service (including screen replacement, battery replacement, software fixes, and diagnostics) at your home, office, or any specified location, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Data Loss and Backup Responsibility
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to fully back up all personal data, photos, documents, contacts, applications, and settings on their device before handing it over to the technician.
3. Pre-existing Conditions and Latent Defects
Mobile devices that have suffered physical impact, liquid entry, or extreme pressure may contain latent/unseen damage. During the course of standard assembly or disassembly, these pre-existing defects might worsen, resulting in total device shutdown or failure of other internal components (e.g., motherboard, face ID, fingerprint scanner).
The customer agrees to release FixAtDoor from any liability for secondary hardware failures that may occur due to pre-existing motherboard damage, battery swelling, or structural stress.
4. Authorization to Repair and Access
By permitting our technician to handle the device, you explicitly authorize us to perform diagnostics, open the device shell, remove components, and install replacement parts. You grant our technician access to the device settings or passcode for quality testing purposes only.
5. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FixAtDoor Technologies Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and technicians from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Loss or damage to third-party assets inside your premises during the visit.
- Personal injury or property damage not directly caused by gross negligence.
- Post-service device usage that violates manufacturer instructions.
6. Governing Law
This indemnity form shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of the services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
